Are you experienced in C++ and backend development, and interested in working close to complex industrial products and their data?

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer

with strong experience in C++ and modern backend technologies.
As a consultant, you'll work close to the software layer that connects industrial products, control systems and industrial data platforms – developing application services, integrations and middleware components for our clients’ industrial systems, one project at a time.

Our projects typically focus on the software layer between industrial systems and modern applications: integrations, backend services, data pipelines and interfaces that enable digital services, industrial analytics and operational tools.

Our clients support hybrid work, so presence at their office around Tampere or Helsinki Metropolitan areas is required (1–3 days per week). In addition, you are always welcome to work from our office locations at Vantaankoski (and soon Tampere too ;).

Your responsibilities can include

• developing applications, backend services and middleware components for industrial and medical software systems,

• designing and implementing APIs and integration services,

• building data pipelines and services processing industrial telemetry, operational and machine data,

• integrating industrial systems with modern software platforms.

We expect you to have

• several years of experience in C++ software development, preferably in complex systems or industrial environments,

• experience developing backend services or application-layer software using technologies such as Python, C# or Java,

• experience building APIs, middleware or integration services between different software systems,

• experience working with Linux or Windows -based development environments and modern software tooling,

• a solid understanding of software architecture, system integration and distributed systems, and

• great verbal and written communication skills in English.

It’s a great plus if you also have experience with:

• Integrating software with industrial systems or protocols (for example OPC UA, MQTT, or similar).

• Containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Industrial data pipelines or telemetry data, using technologies such as Python data processing tools, SQL, streaming platforms or cloud data services, or

• Background in industrial automation, machine control systems, or complex electromechanical products.
