As a Test Automation Engineer,

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing for embedded software applications. You'll be part of a highly skilled team working on advanced client projects - one at a time. These projects typically support product development for large device manufacturers in fields like healthcare and industrial automation.

Your day-to-day work includes working closely with developers and product teams to ensure software is robust, reliable, and secure. Some on-site work (1–3 days/week) is often part of the job, so living near the Helsinki Metropolitan Area is required.

How to succeed in this position?

You’ll need a strong background in automated software testing and embedded systems, as well as hands-on experience with modern test tools and frameworks.

In more detail, you should have:

• Experience from testing and creating test automation for Qt applications
• Working knowledge of embedded system testing
• Strong skills in Python programming
• Hands-on experience with the Squish test automation framework
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitLab or GitHub, and issue tracking with Jira 
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins 
• Ability to set up and build test environments and embedded test devices in the lab 
• Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, LON, MQTT, SPI, RS485
• Analytical mindset and strong debugging skills 
• Up-to-date knowledge of software testing methodologies and cybersecurity considerations
